Migration Manager - Make a difference in Copenhagen’s mobility

The Copenhagen Metro transports 10 million passengers monthly and plays a vital role in the city's daily life. We are seeking a System Engineer with proven signaling experience, preferably in driverless metro systems, to lead key design, implementation, and system acceptance activities as Signaling Work Stream Leader.

About the project
We’re in the early phase of the 3xR project (Rolling Stock, Re-signaling, Reinvestment), a major brownfield initiative to upgrade the signaling systems and rolling stock. The goal is to improve reliability, efficiency, and future readiness, while ensuring seamless migration with minimal disruption to our 24/7 driverless metro operations.

Your profile
We’re looking for an experienced Engineer with substantial and relevant technical and leadership experience in railway and metro system brown field projects (e.g. signaling system and Rolling Stock), with familiarity across various migration methods, including managing operational constraints and assessing passenger impacts during migration activities, such as installation and testing.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate various migration methods, address operational constraints and proactively assess passenger impacts during migration activities such as installation and testing
• Identification of installation constraints and preparation of construction/installation requirements
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and implement migration plans that align with project objectives and operational requirements
• Oversee workshop and yard management, scheduling, and dispatching operations to maintain efficient workflow throughout the migration period
• Monitor incident management processes and passenger flow, ensuring effective handling of service disruptions and emergencies during migration activities
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to manage communications, resolve issues, and ensure timely project delivery

Skills

• Have substantial and relevant experience in signaling and rolling stock migration projects, with a strong understanding of different migration methods
• Demonstrate familiarity with metro system operations, including workshop and yard management, scheduling, dispatching, incident management, and passenger flow
• Are proficient in project coordination and operational management within metro or rail environments

Languages

• Fluent English (required); Danish is a plus or willingness to learn
